Subject: RE: 15" corn

SW Iowa
No experience personally, just what I see. In 2011 Harry Stine was pushing 12 inch corn. Well that fall there were several fields a couple miles south of the Stine seed headquarters along Hwy 44 that were basically flat. They were harvested with a draper head going very slowly. I have no idea if there was a high population issue or the row width was the cause but it was a mess. We have neighbors with 20 inch corn who get along fine so maybe there is a limit under 20 inches for good standability.
