Massachusetts | One of our sort gates did that to us just the other day. It happened at around 3am which was tough but thankfully easy just turn it back on. Not sure if a taller cow was messing around with it a lot and somehow pushed the on/off or what. The sort gates drive us crazy sometimes, definitely have more problems with them than we thought we would and if there’s a problem it can sure mess up flow in the barn very quickly.
Bad feeling to get an alarm for milking station idle come out and find out no cows have passed through smart gate for a couple hours. Boy are they ever mad then. Both pens in our barn are guided flow so when it breaks it’s not good. All that being said we definitely like guided flow still | |
