I've never used a three chain that you described, but I watched a video of it being used. It worked in the demonstration. If you only have a few bushes to pull , it would probably suffice. If bushes are becoming a regular problem or you have a large area to reclaim from over growth of trees and bushes, a hydraulic tree and post puller on a skid steer ( if you have one) is the best solution.

Got it off Amazon at an on sale price three weeks ago. It is back to regular price now.
Amazing how quick and easy it works in snatching brush and trees from the ground. And I have LOTS for it to do.
