Family investment is number one. Kids are the only thing you will leave in this world of any significance. The most common theme from members of the greatest generation that I was told was they wish they would have spent more time with their kids, not working all the time. On to investments. The best investment I wish I could have done earlier is to improve what I owned. Tile in most instances will yield you more return per dollar. The nice thing is that if done correctly it will pay off fairly quickly and last for many years. An older farmer told me you pay for tile weather you have it or not. It can be expensive if done right, but most of mine paid back in less than 5 years. These projects cost from $800 to $1200 per acre. Sounds like you have done great so far.
