Rental houses seem like a good deal here, too. I'm talking buy a house for $40000 and renting it out for $700 a month without spending anything for repairs. In general, I have done well buying things that no one else wanted at the time, and then fixing them up. Could be cows, hay, rental houses, etc. Not too many deals on land that I have seen yet.
