I always plant barley for silage. I want energy as much as protein. I put it up late stage 75 to 80 days. 50 percent moisture standing when I cut it. Last year 10 tonnes and acre of 50 percent moisture. Great feed


Can you raise the protein much by putting more nitrogen on it. I know for brewing they want you to keep the protein down so you limit the nitrogen to some extent.
