we use a artsway vertical (roda) but have added a 141 side slinger also-best of 2 worlds-if we have enough help we will also run the 141 knight in pen pack-does a nice job and can fill in the stuff that the vertical can not-I would keep your side slinger and add a vertical beater spreader we pull a v-180 with a 8400 john deere-they have dropped the price of them-I bought a new one last Dec for around 36,000-they will haul 20 ton in real heavy pen pack-the side slinger knight slc-141 hauls about the same but takes longer to unload in dryer manure
