West Tennessee | Our situation is kind of similar. Test weights were average but not the highest we ever had in the fall. 55 to 56. We put quite a few in the bins though and knew at one point there were too many hulls. Just could not get them all out due to the poor cutting conditions this fall so had to keep going. Now while hauling them out of the bins test weight is really low like low 50's and even saw a 49 the other day. Moisture is still higher at 13.7 to 14+. Wondering if we were able to dry the hulls out but not so much the beans with the fans? Also a lot of fun fooling with the hulls stopping up the bin openings regularly. At least we're not getting a damage discount (or very little) so that's a positive. | |
