The sample at the elevator, is a representative sample of the load you deliver. It should have approximately the same percentage of foreign matter (pods, weed seeds, etc) as the load. If you want to know the test weight of the benas themselves, clean all the foreign matter out and check just the beans. The elevator is going to pay/figure discount based on the true representative sample. If your sample is "dirty enough" to lower test weight and trigger discounts you might try to clean up the sample better with combine setting adjustments. Patrick
