What NEg is your ration? I’m trying my first pen of backgrounding/possibly finishing and nutritionist has me at a 46 right now for 550-6wt heifers. 4 lbs alfalfa, 4 lbs prairie hay, 5 lbs corn silage, 6lbs corn and .67lbs 40/20 protein with rumensin.

I would drop the corn and use soy hulls instead-up the corn silage and drop the hay in 1/2

we don't go off percentages of ration-just simple go off weight-and round up-instead of 870# of a feed we just round up to 1,000# or if ration is calling for 653# of that product I go to 700#
