Sounds like your program is similar to ours. We might feed a pound or two of corn for about a month after weaning but then feed just roughage to keep the calves green. Silage, oat hay, wheat hay, alfafa and about a pound of liquid protein with Rumensin. Usually sell most of the steers in Jan weighing 575 to 650.
