If you can get access to NDVI imagery and Lidar you can make a pretty good VR map. NDVI is near infrared which shows plant health. Lidar is elevation imagery. You will find that they correspond with each other fairly close. As far as making rates in your zones you’ll have to figure how much of a difference there is in the least productive area compared to the highest productive area, then play with rates. If your fields aren’t big and grid sampling is something that you can have done that would give you a better idea on the fertility you need to put down.
