SC MN | Don't know anything about Dordt College, but the town sure is nice. I had the same issue with choosing an Ag college 14 years ago. I did the community college route first, but realized I needed more. My hometown was small, with a school K-12 of 450 students. I was not wanting the large University setting so never even looked at Iowa State. I went to SDSU & Northwest Missouri State for tours after the community college. I fell in love with SDSU. Granted, it was a school of roughly 9000 students in undergrad work. I know a lot of people from where I live now go to SDSU and absolutely love it. It seems like a large college, but the people you meet make it feel small & inviting. I do think it has lost its "small town" feel somewhat, but I still think it's a great place with great people. Northwest Missouri State, to me, didn't feel quite as small town and friendly back then, but things change in over a decade! | |
