Wow...........those 70s were really good! No wonder the farm crisis of the 80s happened. Also kind of makes me a little sad seeing my tenure as a farmer on your chart. I started on my own in 1992 and the only good spike between then and now happened during our historical drought where we basically grew no dryland crops. Those prices helped our insurance guarantees, which helped keep us on the farm, but it was hardly good times for us. We cut a half section (320 acres) in 2011 and filled one semi so we could have seed wheat. Only took us 9 hours though with one machine!
