| Carter was trying to battle the red army. He thought he placed an embargo for the greater good by using the farmer as a pawn. It doesn’t seem different. Nixon placed an embargo on us exports because he was battling inflation, he thought we would run out of food. He used the farmer as a pawn. How is that different. Now the hard part is to explain why trump is trying to circumvent the rfs and the RINS program which is the law of the land. Any difference?
