the only drawback in his case to an EZ500 is it is not compatible with field iq which he already has it sounds like. I'd probably lean towards a 750 with another raven replacement field iq just to be able to have the option of swapping fmx and 750 if needed. I will agree I liked the ez500 better than the 750 overall.
Used FMX's are getting pretty reasonable as well for waas only ones.
