southern MN | Yup, and my marketing is so poor I can never add anything of value to this forum, thus my pointless reply!
I just try to read along and hope an old dog can still learn something.
When crop prices got really bad in the 2000’s I got into preselling and market games a little more, but my advisor started getting giddy about selling 18 months out at $2.35 corn, and I started questioning what all we were really trying to accomplish with perpetual poverty, I sold that crop for closer to $6 after I harvested it and so I realized it always comes down to throwing darts with a blindfold no matter how hard you try to protect your bottom line. I wasnt smart, just stubborn and lucky, it comes around the other way on me too.
