| that will be unfortunate. where i farm used to get the beacon from Rock Island on the Mississippi. it was decommissioned i think in 2016 or so. now beacon is from Sheboygan Wi on Lake Michigan. distance is alot more but still functioned as of last spring. works good with my old trimble gps system from early 2000's for spraying. can't imagine it costs much money to keep those beacons up and would be a good standby system for navigation on the lakes and rivers if the satellite systems take a dump. | |
