Scranton | An oral ag rental agreement (above 40 acres I believe) is just as binding as a written one in Iowa. Since you were farming it previous years and he didn't cancel you by sept 1, its yours for this year. I'd farm it if it were me. The odds of you ever getting this back is small. I don't know why so many want to let the landlord out of a legally binding contract...aren't we told we are running a business? How many contracts are you let out of for no real reason? | |
