You may not like it, but I’d try to part on a positive note. Try to get reimbursed for anything you have applied like fertilizer and return the seed. If the whole organic adventure doesn’t pan out, hopefully you’ll be the first person they’ll offer it to later.
Obviously if you can’t return the seed, it gets more complicated.
I agree on trying to leave on a positive note. I'm a guy who started organic having never grown corn outside of the garden and done well. But I think it's also possible that it doesn't pan out and you get the chance to farm it again.
That said, if you can return seed and such, I would ask for them to buy out your expected profit. So, if you project a net return of $60/acre, ask that you receive $60x138. |
