South central kansas

In terms of wheat, over the past 58 years the  US percentage of world production has went from 15.8% to the current 6.99%. Even more telling has been the US share of world exports, from a high of 50% (1973) to the current 15%. The US is no longer the wheat centre of the world, in terms of exports(and % of world production and ending stocks) and the US doesn't have as much pull over price as it once did, wheat events outside of the US determine price more so than in the US.
