North of London | Redoak pointed out this new barn from a trip he made last year so when the opportunity presented itself I went with our daughter to have a look.
It is on a rural gravel road and it was a cold winter day when we came on vehicles parked on both sides of the road a good kilometre from the barn so we decided we did not really need to see it that bad and continued on to find a parking place right in front of the barn.
I did mention it was cold, cloudy and windy so did not take any pics from outside and because there were so many people only a few inside
Do not know how many cows they are planning on milking here but the rotary milking parlour had 50 places I think with a large holding area for cows coming in and a couple pics in the barn.
Also a pic of the processor handling the reclaimed sand for bedding.
I think the 'truck' for bedding with the sand is showing in the one pic of the barn.
Sure a lot different from the 10-12 cow herds that were being milked when I was a boy. | |
