Illinois | They have a truck listed for online auction that I’m interested in. I went and looked but didn’t drive it due to very cold weather. He didn’t know much history on it, as they seem to be a place that buys stuff to fix up and resell.
I googled the VIN and found that this truck sold online last month and was sold and listed as having a bad transmission. The Mid-MO person told me it ran fine, had original, correct mileage and that it was driven 300 miles to their lot. Only after I told him
I found it listed before with a bad transmission did he say “it’s fixed”.
Also, the odometer is at exactly the same mileage now as it was listed at the last sale a month ago. Either the odometer doesn’t work, or they hauled it in, neither of which bothers me, but either case means he did not represent it correctly to me.
Obviously it appears I better not buy this truck unless I figure in a transmission rebuild, but I’m just wondering if this place has a reputation, good, bad or neutral? | |
