midwest | I commend your enthusiasm, but, there's the but, we've just got too much of a hill to climb. Would be great if Trump would get out of the way of our market. Hard to be optimistic as a producer when you've got 2 strikes out of the gate (last year's whoppin' crop and the trade war). Soybeans just chopping around, until Brazil, Argentine crops confirmed? Soy insurance price isn't going to be anything to brag about. Worst thing that can happen is a bunch of producers load up on forward sales (a knee jerk from last year's failure to sell ahead) at low prices and then we have a good old drought this summer. Is this the year for call protection? | |
