Subject: Mycoplasma in Bottle Calves

Sure enough with the temperature swings this week, when I was checking in with our growers there were some new cases of mycoplasma. I get calves every two weeks and the group now six weeks old is just getting over it. Probably had 15 cases before these this winter where the calves were drooping ears and tilting heads closer to death than life. I’ve put them on draxxin day one, baytril days 1-8, lincomed and baytril days 9,10, lincomed and sustain iii days 11-19. A few didn’t need the whole treatment course but the really bad guys aren’t noticeable by the end. Hope my lucky streak off fighting off mycoplasma keeps up.
