So which is it? Am I making a decision based on two 15' sections or one 10' section? If I have a large enough sample size and history the standard deviation will get smaller.

Either way, it doesn't really matter if I never go back and validate against emperical data (emperical as in actual measured data). That was kind of the point.

And with regard to this particular sample within this field...I did not see any spots on the yield map that went above 225bpa nor did I see any that went below 150bpa. So at best the sample estimate was within about 30bpa and at worst it was within 100bpa (but fell outside the distribution completely).
