Subject: Two Subscriptions - Not an issue since RTK

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
I use XP, this is cheaper than HP (Higher Priced-Higher Performance). Supposedly XP is not as accurate as HP, but some have questioned whether there really is any difference.

I don't know the exact layout of equipment with the implement steering but I'm guessing that the implement would have its own system with a separate GPS mounted on the implement as well as another GPS mounted on the tractor for that system. I would think this would be necessary as both the tractor and implement need to know their own position quite accurately.

The Trimble blurb indicates that e a common RTK correction signal is used so I'm thinking that there would be just one RTK receiver bringing in correction from the Base stations but it would feed both GPS units.

If Omnistar were allowed, I suppose this might involve a subscription for each of the GPS units since in that respect they would be independent. Possibly Omnistar is not accurate enough for these elaborate setups.
