I mow crp ground annually in mid to late August with a cx15. Have used as small as s 4760 and as large as a 8300. Wouldn't want to have less than 175 horse. Perhaps that is overkill but everything about the cx is heavy duty. I like the extra iron in front (mine is set for a large shaft pto). I also have a 1517. Good mower but notably lighter in construction compared to the cx. I pull it with a 7410. Excellent combination.
