Pittsburg, Kansas | Fully agree. Nothing wrong with wanting a better life than they used to have it. Why I semi retired at 55.
Our operation is currently run mostly for the benefit of employees. I would have been better off the last two years to wrap it up and collect cash rent on our owned ground. But I have made a commitment to people that have worked for me for years, as long as they can keep it at least modestly profitable and they want to do it, we will farm. If they ever lose interest, things will change. At this point after doing it for 50 years, wouldn't hurt my feelings.
