Yup

A govt looks at grains as bottom line food security that is non perishable for a time period
China for decades is a clear example, diets included very little meat for decades
China and most govts essentially, in a time of crisis, look at meat as a luxury items for the masses of the population.

.....nothing brings supply of corn to the market like ethanol does, is sub 4.00 corn basically equal at this time after inflation to 1.50 corn in the early 80's.....id venture it is.

In analyzing feeding cattle profitability...feed cost is a minor player in the big picture
75-80% of making money is the purchase price and sale price....
