True.    I enjoy  calling them in.  It's  a sport.

BUT   on the other hand,    coyotes are getting braver at is taking down live young calves.  The family dog or cat..    That isn't sporting either. 

 

  We didn't see   take downs  until    10-12 years ago.     Usually  they   worked  as  carrion  eaters.  Something changed.

Gassing rats, or putting out  poison isn't sporting..

Putting out  insecticide  to  kill   bugs on crops  isn't sporting...

So,  yeah,  I have   almost  10k wrapped up in  'gear'.     Infrared thermal  gear.   

I'll  take down   50-60   in a season.    Calf loss is  greatly reduced.  less disease  carried from  ranch to ranch  by  coyotes too.
