Personally I can’t make buying more dirt work. Already working another job to make keep my dirt payments up to date. Perhaps a location/age thing?

Tiling the long term rented farms has paid off well so far. Difference can be land lords attitude towards you and their land and their long term goals also. I don’t rent from those that put their farm up for public bid every 2-3 years either, so that helps in confidence to invest. $500 an acre in tile doesn’t go far towards a 35% down payment on $8000 an acre ground. So I don’t feel like I could be doing much more.
