Subject: RE: Growing rye in Montana?

West River, SD
I have never heard of it actually being a noxious weed, but it can be a very invasive weed in winter wheat. It used to be very hard to get rid of back in the wheat and fallow days, but with continuous cropping and growing a variety of crops in a rotation, it just is not a big problem anymore.

That being said, someone could make a lot of people angry by planting rye, unless it will be isolated and quarantine from other cropland.
