Your info says mid Michigan , not certainly a place you would expect bean yields that would set records . Decades ago a friend and I went to mid Michigan to try to learn how this guy was doing it . In my memory the soil was pretty sandy , looking around we were surrounded by old little dairy farms . A lot of them had been signed up into CRP. This wasn't a place you would ever expect high yields with soybeans ! No till , 30" rows and group 1 beans ! Everything he was doing would of been laughed out of my county ! But he was a man that said , what if and let's try ! Thru years of doing he was able to crack 100 bushel yields ! Bean plants are a very unique plant and by that statement , I mean they have a lot of hidden potential , that we still don't know how to unlock . So I don't buy , my ground can't support those kind of yields ! The mid Michigan guy whom you can all be proud of was Ray Rawson !
