Ummm 43 million lbs per year???
Maybe you should take his word with a grain of salt.

Assuming he is raising large toms at 50 lb finish weight
43,000,000 lbs /50Lbs =860,000 birds

Assuming he gets 3 flocks turned over year (which it’s very unlikely he gets 3 full turns in).

860,000 birds/ 3 turns= 286,666 birds on site per turn.

Let’s assume each barn hold 6,000 toms

286,666 birds on site/ 6000 spaces per barn= 47.77 barns

So he would be managing 48 turkey barns....
I’d like to see this

Kandiohi county takes turkey farming serious.
