Nevada, Iowa | I don't think I missed your point but I sure veered off in a different direction. While I am at it - I seem to remember a lot of political unrest over the Iran-Contra mess. I also seem to recall talk of impeachment at the time although no one in congress ever referred to Reagan publicly as a mother(use your imagination). I don't think Reagan was ever as close to the threat as Trump seems to have become, I don't think Reagan ever acted quite as unstable either, even when some of us may have suspected he was suffering from Alzheimer's. As you mentioned, Willy lived on the ragged edge of impeachment for awhile too. I do agree that talk of impeachment and the actual act of it happening will be two very different animals in terms of the effect on our economy. | |
