Subject: RE: Hardin Montana Agronomist

Billings, Montana
anyone know anything about this farm that is for sale? it appears to have been on the market for 690 days from what i can tell. Looks like a decent setup and nice big fields.
What would be typical fertility applied to winter and spring weat in this area? Looking at south central montana yields reports, i guess target yields woudl be 50bu/ac with higher possible with some moisture.
Looks like alot of high salinity areas from google earth
Probably a good area for lentils and chickpeas?

Barley in Southern Montana. It looks like barley grows real well in th esouth anyone have experience? i have seen yeilds from the montana stats pages that are 80-100bu/ac in south central. and barley price right now down there is 6-7$? is that correct?
