'Hay field for years' would be the first field I'd fertilize the beans on. Hay takes lots of nutrients off. Probably no way to put too much fertilizer on that field.

Ironically that field called for a 0-35-60-25 mix. The owner approched me in April asking if I wanted to rent it, there was stilll a foot of snow then. I knew I wouldn't have time to plow it, disc it, and work my full time job unless I wanted to plant in June.... So I decided to no-till into the standing grass. I didnt even spray the grass until after I planted it. I soil sampled it on 5-3-18 which was prolly last thing before I started planting corn. Plus I was kind of experimenting with the whole no till thing. Didnt want to add fertilizer into the list of unknowns on it.

I knew if I got 30 BPA I would break even on that field, just barely did. Next year it will be better.
