Coup,

Is there not a straw market where you’re at? Last year I just windrowed my straw and sold it for $40/ton to someone who came and baked it, got almost 2 ton an acre. What’s the benefit of using a stripper head vs a Draper head and just clipping the wheat heads off and leaving the straw standing?

Won't sell straw no matter the price.

Will be more long straw on the ground with stripper vs sickle if your going to get all the grain in the combine.. Chopped wheat straw after beans are harvested can move with runoff. Long straw on the ground is less likely to move.
