Over the last 20 years the S&P peaked in April 2007 slightly over 1500.

It did not break this level again til January of 2013.

I guess buyers did come in....eventually.

I am not a bull and am looking for more blood.
IMO, it’s all about interest rates. Had interest rates not declined in the the timeframe 4020 refereed to above, it would have taken ALOT longer to claw it’s way back. We are entering a different paradigm now, with interest rates climbing steadily. It’s enough to sway me out of the market. If I can get 4.1% interest, (which I can), at my age (58), I’m no longer going to risk a major correction derailing our retirement goals. I didn’t share this view a couple years ago when money was essentially worthless. This is no time for pre-retirees and retirees to be chasing market returns (and possibly getting their ass handed to them) when they can finally get a decent return on their money in much safer investments. And guess who owns to majority of the market valuation? Edit too add; The same goes for land values too. Be careful. Bid accordingly.
