Missouri river bottom south of Sioux City, IA | Last month I sold my 31 row JD 1790 planter that was equipped with eSets, Wave Vision tubs, AirForce and Clean Sweep. I listed it at the same price as other JD 1790s were at that time without any PP equipment. I got what I wanted out of it. The PP equipment on the planter did not require me to discount the price.
Switched to a 16 row mounted planter with all PP equipment. The row units are JD with vSet, DeltaForce , Wave Vision tubes and Clean Sweep. The mounted folding bar is made by TC Machine and it has hyd down force on the wings. I priced a JD planter with almost the same configuration and it was close to $80,000 higher. With the JD planter you need to use the Orthman bar with lift assist for a 16 row 30 inch planter plus JD requires the complete ExactEmerge system if you want to go with electric seed drives.
I’m not afraid of losing value with PP equipment on my planter.
