niobrara nebraska | I want to say the last time it happened was 07 or 08, I know we fed the calves out that year because the 800ilb feeder market was lower then the cash fat cattle market. Want to say feeders were around .90 on steers and .75 for heifers and fats over a dollar. Corn was around 5 dollars as well. It was a tight market that is for sure. I know we more or less "punted" on selling feeders and finished them as the price went up per ilb the heavier they where. NOT sure I want to see that again. | |
