You need to have what they need when they need it. And likely when others don’t want to deliver or commit. We usually get opportunities when the board sucks, but users are still using. We may not like the board either but we will buy the board and take the cash/basis. You could lock basis then and wait on the futures but are then opening yourself to counter party risk. |
