Braham MN. | Conan your pretty much on par. If the refiner doesn't want to blend Ethanol, they buy RINS. Like all things, if no one want to blend, demand for RINs gies up, thus RIN price goes up, thus making it cheaper to blend. As you blend ethanol, or more then required you can sell your RINs to recoup cost.
The RIN wavers are allowing refiners to NOT blend Ethanol and NOT have to buy RINs.....bad deal for Ethanol and corn. | |
