Ford County, IL
That is correct. We only put down the one 100 pounds of dap and 100 pounds of potash in our strips. We usually don’t put anything down in front of beans. We put a 8-19-3 starter fertilizer in with the planter in furrow at around 3.5 gal per acre on corn. We used to do that with beans (at 1/3 the rate) until this past year, and that’s only because we bought and old 12 row planter for planting beans whilenthe 24 row is planting corn. We looked into getting a second tank for our strip till bar so we could vrt p&k, but with where our soil test results are, it was going to take a long time to pay for its self.
