Sanilac Co. Michigan | Depends on what you mean by slowly. Figure soy stubble and trash add back little to nothing. If you clip the wheat low enough to take straw off then yah, nothing. Whatever biomass the corn leaves behind ought to be something, but the tillage ought to burn a lot of that, so I don't see a whole lot accruing. On the positive side, for a couple seasons each cycle you'll have done something to help mitigate losses to wind and rain. | |
