I believe the key is to not spray too early. If a guy tills and gets that first flush of weeds you can wait until that later app(12" limit with atrazine in it). A lot of guys put stuff down following the planter and if ya get a cold snap and corn dose not come up for 3 weeks, there ya sit with 3 weeks of residual gone and 3 weeks longer until canopy! Can't let it get wooly, but i like to wait til that 4-8" stage like johndeere8430 stated.

Me too. I wipe that first flush out. I dont spray too early but a very good catch of weeds. Halex with the atrazine seems to just smoke them. Very few escapes if any. With what's in there and one decent rain in a timely fashion, I cant see where anyone wouldn't think it's a one pass unless its no til.
