I heard of similar stories where guys had callisto down pre and another had Corvus down but couldn’t get in to plant corn and went ahead and put GT27 beans in. No problems.....might of had enough rainfall to dilute product(s) tho.....I don’t know. Was personally told by a producer who planted GT27 variety along side a dicamba variety with everything being equal (planting date, maturity, tillage program, chemical program) and he said they looked better and yielded better from emergence thru harvest. He said he has always been using a HPPD chemical in his corn program and seemed pretty sure his yield drag has been from carry over issues. Don’t know for myself, just what I was told, but does sort of make sense.Boy if a guy COULD use a generic Callisto down that would be a hell of a lot cheaper than a Sonic down!
My guess there are more than one thinking the same thing as you when it comes to cheap pre ahead of GT27 beans. |
