Croswell, Michigan | I have 4555 which is just a lower hp 4955. We have had that tractor for probably 16 years. It was a tillage at first but now is my planter grain cart tractor. It had 3000 hours when I bought it and is creeping up on 7200hrs now. The cab is definitely smaller than an 8000 series. I know everyone is gun shy about the 15sp power shift repair bill. I have yet to have any issue with mine, I just keep in eye on the hyd oil lever and change both the trans/hyd filters every year.
I had a ‘minor ‘ trans issue on my 9300 last spring and that was $10k so they all can get expensive if you have to work on them.
I might be a little leary of a high hour 55-60 series but there are still nice ones out there. | |
