Yeah, I've seen those tracks Supa. Mosty on 8N Fords. K, I thought maybe you were meaning skidder, but, well, ya never know. We all get some crazy ideas sometimes. :) I've wondered myself about some steel ones for brush chopping small saplings along the fence lines. But I'm thinking those brush choppers wouldn't get low enough and still have those sharp couple inch sticks that can get inbetween the tracks and poke the tires. I have no experience with either.
If you want to do brushing work for any length of time with a tractor I would suggest you ask for skidder tires.
Assuming your locale tire shop won't know what those are they are high ply bias tires. I remember some with 20 ply.
The tires were designed to be using out in the bush by logging companies - - - they work great for farm tractors when those tractors are working ground with small sticks as per above! |
